Department of Telecommunication Engineering Freshmen Orientation
On Wednesday, February 18th, 2023, the Department of Telecommunication Engineering organized a Freshmen Orientation for its new members. The event was attended by lecturers, Teaching Assistants, executives from the department, and the newly admitted students. The purpose of the orientation was to welcome the students to the department and provide them with valuable information about the programs, courses, and activities offered.
The Head of Department, Professor James D. Gadze, was the keynote speaker at the event and took the opportunity to share valuable words of advice with the freshers. Professor Gadze encouraged the students to focus on their studies and to strive for academic excellence. He also cautioned them against focusing too much on the prospect of leaving midway to schools abroad, as this could have a negative impact on their academic performance.
Other speakers at the event included the teaching staff, who shared their experiences and provided insights into the academic programs offered in the department. They emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, and commitment to achieving academic success. They also discussed the various opportunities available to students for research, internships, and career development.
The freshers were given a tour of the department facilities, including the labs, lecture halls, and library. They also had the opportunity to meet with the executives of the department, who answered any questions they had about the programs, courses, and activities.
Overall, the Freshmen Orientation was a great success and provided the freshers with valuable information and insights into their academic journey at the Department of Telecommunication Engineering. The department looks forward to supporting the students throughout their studies and helping them to achieve their academic and professional goals
